BY USING, VIEWING OR REGISTERING TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE FORUM, YOU AGREE ON BEHALF OF YOURSELF AND ANY ORGANIZATION ("YOU" OR "YOUR") TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND REPRESENT THAT (I) YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO THESE TERMS, (II) YOU ARE OF LEGAL AGE TO FORM A BINDING CONTRACT WITH COHESITY, INC. ("COHESITY" OR "US" OR "WE"), AND (III) YOU HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO ENTER INTO THESE TERMS PERSONALLY OR ON BEHALF OF THE ENTITY YOU REPRESENT. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS, YOU MAY NOT ACCESS OR USE THE FORUM. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, DO NOT READ, REGISTER FOR, OR CONTRIBUTE TO THE FORUM IN ANY MANNER.

Introduction

The Cohesity Community Forum ("Forum") is provided by Cohesity Inc. and/or its affiliates subject to these Forum Terms and Conditions. The objective of the Forum is to serve as a hub bringing together customers, prospects, partners, and Cohesians into one collaborative online space. Here, members can connect, share their experiences about Cohesity products and services, and share expertise. Members can also build skills and get information about Cohesity products and processes to stay ahead of evolving data challenges.

The audience is specifically intended to be technical practitioners such as backup administrators, systems engineers, and architects responsible for the hands-on management, troubleshooting, and optimization of data protection and security within their organization.

The benefits are intended to include:

  • Peer-to-Peer Problem Solving: Faster answers, ticket deflection, happier customers.
  • Product Insight and Feedback Loop: Builds trust and loyalty giving our customer a voice in product development.
  • Education and Enablement: Drives adoption, confidence, reduces churn, and contributes to long-term success.
  • Advocacy: Amplifies authentic customer voices, expanding our reach and brand awareness.

Participation

In addition to these Forum Terms and Conditions, all users are subject to Cohesity’s website terms of use at https://www.cohesity.com/content/dam/cohesity/agreements-docs/cohesity-website-terms-of-use.pdf . Registration may be required using your company email address if you wish to contribute content, post comments to articles or start a new forum thread.

At Cohesity’s discretion, the Forum may be limited to subscribers only or may be partially or fully public. Cohesity reserves the right to impose additional requirements or rules of conduct in relation to the Forum and other websites. Forum content may be viewed and copied by others, including members of the public. Never post confidential or non-public information.

Information in the Forum is not endorsed by Cohesity, nor does Cohesity make any representation that information in this Forum is accurate or complete. Those who access the Forum do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with these terms and all applicable laws.

Forum Rules

  • Be friendly. Users must treat one another with respect. Users may not post any racist, insulting, sexist, discriminatory, threatening or otherwise insulting comments, make inappropriate jokes or otherwise harass other users.
  • Stay legal. Users may not post any offensive material, share illegal content, or attempt to distribute viruses which give access to the computers or systems of other users.
  • Stay on topic. Please do not change the subject of a discussion. Any off-topic posting or hijacking of threads will result in content being removed and may cause users to be denied access to the community.
  • No commercial use. Users may not use the forum for commercial activities such as advertising or sale of products or services, sending commercial messages (spam), or advertising other forums or websites.
  • No sharing of private information. Do not share personal information such as telephone numbers or email addresses of yourself, other people, or companies.
  • No trade association. This forum is not a trade association. Representatives of competing companies may not collude or discuss competitively sensitive information. Failure to comply may violate competition law and result in financial and reputational consequences.

Moderator Actions

Ongoing participation is at Cohesity discretion. Cohesity reserves the right to change or remove content or to restrict access to individual users. It is not allowed to discuss moderation actions in public. If you disagree with an action taken, please contact Cohesity via community@cohesity.com.

Registration

You represent and warrant that all information provided during registration is truthful and accurate. If false, inaccurate, or incomplete information is provided, Cohesity may immediately terminate your account.

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their passwords and must not share user IDs or passwords. You agree to notify Cohesity immediately of any unauthorized use. You are solely responsible for all access and use of the Forum under your account.

Your Content

By posting any Forum content, you grant all users and the general public permission to use your content. You grant Cohesity a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, nonexclusive, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, and create derivative works of all Forum content you post or upload.

You warrant and represent that you are the copyright owner or have the necessary permissions.

Suspension and Termination

Cohesity may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Forum at any time. Cohesity may suspend or terminate accounts or remove content at its discretion.

Limitation of Liability

THE FORUM AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTY. COHESITY SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY REGARDING YOUR USE OF THE FORUM. COHESITY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES EXCEEDING $100 OR FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cohesity and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Forum or violation of these terms.

Export Compliance

You represent that you are not located in a country subject to United States embargoes and agree to comply with all applicable export laws. Accessing the Forum from jurisdictions where it is illegal is prohibited.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California. This agreement is non-transferable and non-assignable.
